If you are a Real Estate Agent, Real Estate Broker, or provide a Real Estate service you know how important effective real estate web promotion is to your business. The large number of people searching the internet for local, national and international real estate information can simply not be ignored.

At the same time you may think effective real estate website promotion is too difficult to master, too expensive to afford, or just too mysterious to understand – an area reserved for experts in the field of search engine marketing.

Like most practitioners of highly specialized skills, search engine marketing specialists have a vested interest in making their field seem mysterious and difficult to master. But it is not really that mysterious. It is possible for anyone to dominate the search engines in virtually any local market. All it takes is a bit of common sense and some hard work.

The principles involved in getting good positioning for your real estate website are quite simple and straightforward. They are the same principles that apply to search engine marketing for any website and it is actually quite easy to apply these principles to real estate websites. Many real estate agents have simply given up trying to score well in the search engines for local real estate searches because they don’t properly understand the process.

But think about it for a minute. When you do a search in Google for “real estate Phoenix” or “Banff real estate” or “Halifax real estate” or “Fort Lauderdale real estate”, and you see the same real estate agents or agencies coming up on the first page week after week, how do you think they got there? What magical real estate website promotion formula are they using or who have they paid to get this high position?

Now before you answer that question, ask yourself how you think Google assigns these positions to different websites. Does their giant computer just pull names from a great big cyber-hat? Do they use secret rules that only a few insiders know about?

Of course not. All the major search engines make it perfectly clear what they are looking for – and especially Google. If you want to score well for a term like “real estate Phoenix” or “real estate Ottawa”, really all you have to do is pack your site with good information about Phoenix (or Ottawa) and focus your home page in a very deliberate way on those search terms.

The search engines like focused content. They assume if your site contains lots of content relevant to “real estate Phoenix” then it should be shown high in searches for that keyword.

Of course the problem is that there are already a number of other real estate websites offering good content focused on your favorite search term, so you are going head to head with sites that have previously established position, and it will take a bit of time and a fair amount of work to get past them.

That is fair enough. After all, if the real estate agent down the streat offers more focused and relevant information than you do about the market you are both chasing, she deserves to come up above you in the search engine rankings. It makes sense, doesn’t it?

That does not mean you should not keep on trying. It simply means you should be patient and work harder. Take a close look at her site and outdo her by refocusing your site and creating more interesting and valuable content. Focus is the name of the game. Make it crystal clear that you are the “expert” on “Calgary real estate” by offering the kinds of things that an expert would offer.

And please, do not hesitate to mention the search phrase you are trying to get positioning on. If it is “Kingston real estate” or “Sacramento real estate”, then use that term all over your home page. Say to yourself, “OK Google, so you are looking for real estate websites that have something to say about ‘Sacramento real estate’, well here I am. I breathe Sacramento Real Estate. I ooze Sacramento Real Estate. I AM Sacramento Real Estate.” This is called Search Engine Optimization.

In the meantime, while you’re waiting for Google to come around on your primary search term, find some less competitive ones to focus on as well. For instance, if you want to service the entire Ottawa area, but most of your clientele is in Kanata or Nepean, focus some of your internet marketing efforts on those smaller markets. You have a much better chance of getting results in these significantly smaller and less competitive markets.

4. Determine the location you want before you start out apartment finding. Take into consideration what you will need in your location such as schools, churches, shops, parks, night life or anything else to suit your particular lifestyle and culture. Remember that the wrong location can cost you dearly in money and time with the cost and time of commuting and also friendship if you move to far away.
6. When you find the place of your dreams you will need to be decisive, quick and prepared. If you fail to be quick and decisive you may find it will become unavailable while you spend time thinking it over. If you’re not the decisive type it may pay you to have a friend or family member with you when you view apartments. If you’re not prepared you may lose out while you run around trying to get the needed papers or whatever maybe required.
4. Current contact information.
5. Your Social Security Number.
6. The Make, Model and year of each of your cars.
7. The money to pay the financial arrangement required.

My life in Real estate started being prepped by a senior agent with 40 years experience in the industry- saying- ‘all you need is a desk, a diary, a phone, pad and pen. Simple words from a man who wasn’t born in the new age era of computers as his desk was covered in manila folders and no modern contraption in sight.

The beginnings of real estate has made me turn on and off my emotions. I was taught that in this business you need to be a doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist and physiotherapist – the three P’s. I thought it was Present. Push, Pressure.

I asked my boss a question ‘ does that mean I have to study these things outside of work, cause I really wouldn’t have time to do real estate if that where the case. He said in reply- these skills are acquired over time with experiences from doing the job. I was thinking shit, I will have to pay for these things outside of work to be the best. Over time I realised what he was talking about was that you have to become a ‘chameleon’.

A chameleon is a flower and what they do is- Adapt to the environment, to change into various colors depending on its surroundings. Having these attributes makes you become a better agent in understanding the other person and relating with them in every way possible.

The above sounds good when you start a career in real estate and it seems to be quite a lucrative job if you only have to adapt to people by following these simple skills by becoming a chameleon. Its not as easy as you think. When you are kissing ass everyday to complete strangers drove me insane. Real Estate is a low salaried job with large commissions with no real career growth- Your here one day and gone the next.

You are only as good as your last sale, and regarded as a step up from a used car salesman. To completely understand the world of real estate you will have to think without emotion. It is a numbers game, expensive appearance industry, fake it till you make it, bending the truth, lie a bit, act like a politician, ignore help from other agents, protect your income stream, watch your back, smile and suck it in. WHAT BULLSHIT………

People come and go in Real estate and only the weak survive the hell of the profession. You have to go to hell and back to be a successful agent. Look at the Bart Doff’s, Micheal Dunn’s, Rowley Banks of the Sydney Real Estate market and you can see that they have lived a stressed life until they retire at 60. They retire on millions but never hundreds of millions. They have nervous issues, twitches, sadness and emotional problems. Do you really want to be part of the sadness or the happiness?

Their are over 30,000 real estate agents in Sydney Australia alone and from that about 1% of agents are a success- the rest struggle to make ends meet.

To be a success is too follow your dream and to highlight the memories of when you where flying high with a smile, then you know what level you are at. Clarity shows itself and that’s when you succeed and become a success.

Be true to yourself and believe in the good of your thoughts and heart and you will develop your direction in life.

The adjustments in life I had made over the past years having done this work in private has made me aware the the greatness I can give people to think outside the square and to adjust their thinking from the plain to the abstract.
This allows the artist within to enjoy making its comeback as I am totally trusting the feeling inside of me as a real eye opener to the possibilities that guide me out of the ordinary life to the extraordinary life.

Are you interested in making money as a real estate investor? If you are, you are advised to examine foreclosure listings. Foreclosure properties are the prime target of those looking to profit from the real estate market. You may be wondering exactly how you can go about doing so. The good news is that there are multiple ways that you can go about examining a large number of foreclosure listings; foreclosure listings that may be able to help you get rich. A few of the easiest ways to go about examining foreclosure listings are touched on below.

Perhaps, the easiest way to go about finding foreclosure listings is by using the internet. When using the internet to research foreclosure listings, it is advised that you perform a standard internet search. Your standard internet search should lead you to the online websites of multiple foreclosure listing services. These are websites where you should be able to browse through or search for a number of different foreclosure properties.

With MostlyForeclosures.com, you’ll learn all about using foreclosure listings to track all kinds of great distressed properties in your area and beyond. They are one of the leading providers of information on foreclosure homes and foreclosure auctions, and with a contains more than 1 Million foreclosures for sale currently available in their database, it’s easy to find whatever you’re looking for from the comfort of your own home!

In addition to using the internet, you are also advised to regularly examine your local newspapers or any other newspapers that you may be able to gain access to, whether it is in print or online. Many foreclosure properties are required to be posted as public notices. These public notices will appear in local newspapers. Scouting newspapers, especially in prime real estate markets, is a nice, easy way to get information on low-cost foreclosure properties that you may be able to invest in.

As it was previously mentioned, foreclosure properties become public knowledge. For that reason, you should also be able to find a number of foreclosure listings by talking to the local government in question. If you are interested in investing in foreclosure properties in or around your hometown, you will want to approach your county clerk’s office. If you are interested in researching foreclosure listings in another area, aside from where you reside, you will want to contact the country clerk’s office in the county in question.

In short, using the internet, county clerk records, and local newspapers are great ways to find foreclosure listings. As a hopeful real estate investor, all real estate properties should be examined, but foreclosure listings should get your highest priority level.

Real estate investment can happen for various reasons. Investing in real estate is a proven method of increasing net worth and with a few sound decisions can earn you great profits. You could invest in real estate because you need a house for yourself. You could use real estate as a means for supplementing your income either by buying at a lower price and selling at a higher price or by letting it out. Sometimes you might buy a property for the purpose of resale but might want to wait for a few years before you actually sell it. In such a case, again it would make sense to rent out the property and earn some money till you actually decide to sell it off. Whatever the reason, letting out real estate demands real estate management and real estate management is not an easy job for everyone. In fact, a lot of people find it so much of a hassle that they prefer keeping their property vacant instead of letting it. Real estate management demands time, which you will rarely have.

Real estate management is not just about finding tenants and collecting rent from them. Real estate management is also about ensuring that you do all the duties that a landlord or landlady is required to do. Real estate management is about verifying the credentials of the tenants before you actually let out your property to them. Real estate management is about ensuring that all the paper work is complete and correct i.e. the tenancy agreement etc are properly done. Real estate management also requires you to do repairs as and when required. Real estate management activities also include maintenance, painting, polishing etc of the house when the tenants move out and before the new tenants get in. So, really, real estate management is not that easy a job for someone who is in a full time job. However, there is a solution to this and that is hiring a real estate management firm to do all these activities on your behalf. Yes, this will mean that what you receive as an income by letting your property will be reduced. But that is just a small price for the convenience that a real estate management firm brings to you.

Real estate management firms can offer you the skills and services you need to maximize your investment properties. These firms are professionals who can market your properties, screen potential tenants, conduct all maintenance repairs and keep your properties running smoothly. However, it’s important that you choose the real estate management firm carefully. There are all kinds of real estate management firms out there. You must check the references of the real estate management firm before you actually hire them for the job. A good real estate management firm will not only keep your property occupied at all times but will also ensure that you always receive the rent in time and without any hassle.
